Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP) leader Malik Ishaq, who was under custody of the law enforcing agencies for peaceful conduct of the May 11 elections, was released from Lahore’s Chohang Jail on Thursday.
According to Interior Ministry sources, the SSP leader was taken into custody three months prior to the general elections.
His detention had been extended continuously and he was eventually released on Thursday.
