Pakistan needs tolerance: Shahbaz

LAHORE – Pakistan is facing serious challenges and needs tolerance, brotherhood and unity like never before, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Sunday.
He was talking to members of the provincial assembly (MPA). The CM said that it was important that collective efforts were made for the solution of the problems being faced by the country and he was ready to go to anyone for this purpose. Shahbaz said that Pakistan was facing terrorism and extremism and progress and prosperity could not be achieved without eliminating these menace.
He said that the whole nation would have to gather on a single platform for the stability of the country and foiling the designs of those elements who were trying to create chaos. The CM said that nature had blessed Pakistan with vast natural resources but instead of developing them over the last 63 years, reliance on foreign aid was preferred. He said that the country was under heavy debt and economic freedom was essential for political independence. Shahbaz urged elected representatives to spare no effort for the solution of problems of the people and ensure timely and transparent completion of all development projects.
