PTI protests against MQM in KP, 3 workers injured in clash with police in Mardan

Workers and supporters of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on Monday staged a protest demonstration in various parts of the province against killing of party leader Zahra Shahid Hussain and alleged massive rigging in May 11 elections in Lahore and Karachi.

Meanwhile, three protesters sustained injuries during a clash with the police in Mardan. A large number of PTI activists were staging a protest against the murder of its leader Zahra and rigging in polls outside the office of the returning officer at Collage Chowk in Mardan. During the protest, a clash between the police and the protesters occurred. The police baton charged the protesters, injuring three PTI workers.

A large number of PTI supporters, including males and females also staged a protest demonstration against killing of Zahra outside the Peshawar Press Club. The protesters were holding placards and banners and chanted slogans against MQM chief Altaf Hussain. They demanded the UK government take action against him being a British citizen.
