Heat wave grips Sindh, Punjab cities

Severe heat wave accompanied by load shedding has gripped several cities of interior Sindh, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday.
As a result, temperature had gone up to 47 degrees centigrade in Larkana and 42 degrees centigrade in Sukkur.
Other areas of Sindh that suffered from the prevailing heatwave included, Rohri, Saleh Pat, Pano Aqil, Jacobabad, Jamshoro, Tando Mohammad Khan, Matiari and other cities.
In Punjab, Bahawalpur and other areas suffered from heatwave the most.
The people were compelled to stay home, while the number of students in schools and colleges across the provinces had also declined considerably. Moreover, patients in the hospitals were being tormented as the heatwave had been joined by incessant loadshedding.
Meanwhile, the sale of ice and cold drinks was witnessing a rise as temperatures soured in all provinces of the country.
