The general public, traders, as well as rural and urban inhabitants of the Islamabad area on Saturday demanded basic health facilities in all state run federal hospitals from the concerned authorities.

Residents of Aabpara, Shahzad Town, Bara Kahu, Chattha Bakhtawar, Rawal town, Jagyot, Morian and other adjoining areas namely Chaudhry Muhammad Riaz, Haji Sagheer Ahmed, Sajjad Ahmed Chaata and Tahir Christi Bilawal said that there were no qualified doctors at any civil dispensary in the remote areas, because of which the residents faced grave difficulties.

They added that the injured were not able to get first aid in these dispensaries and patients were also made to wait long hours due to the staff’s negligence.

The areas’ inhabitants could not afford private hospitals but the overcrowding in PIMS and other public clinics was a great obstacle.

The residents declared that they would initiate public demonstrations unless the authorities took immediate action.
