QUETTA – Environment Provincial Minister Ghulam Jan Baloch from Balochistan National Party-Awami (BNP-A) was sacked from the provincial cabinet on Saturday on the request of the party leadership. Official sources said that the Chief Minister Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani took the decision on the request of BNP-A’s parliamentary leader Mir Asadullah Baloch who was also agriculture minister. They added that the charge of Environment Ministry was assigned to party ‘s Social Welfare Minister Mir Asghar Ali Rind.
Industries Minister Syed Ehsan Shah confirmed the ouster of his party minister and said that he was sacked for committing violation of party discipline. He said a parliamentary party’s meeting was held under his chairmanship which thoroughly discussed the violation of party discipline by Ghulam Jan and it was jointly decided that he should be sacked from the provincial cabinet. However, the sources in BNP-A said that Ghulam Jan Baloch had developed differences with Asad Baloch who is also party’s parliamentary leader.
