Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shireen Mazari has said that PTI would not be giving the all-important provincial ministry for Education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to Jamaat-e-Islami (JI).

In a Tweet, the PTI leader wrote, “Let me state officially that PTI is not handing Education to any coalition partner!”

This comes barely a day after JI Secretary Information Anwar Niazi announced that following a meeting between JI chief Munawwar Hassan and PTI Chairman Imran Khan at the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital, JI would be given the Education Ministry.

Hasan, along with JI General Secretary Liaquat Baloch and other party members, called on Khan to enquire after his health and discuss the formation of government in KP.

After the meeting, Hassan told reporters that as per initial negotiations, the JI will be given three ministries under one senior minister. He had then said that the details of the portfolios which will be allotted to the JI will be announced by Imran Khan later.

    • CAPS LOCK shows you are islamist, who have no clue at all about reality.
Munawar Hassan wants to remove women's protection. He want to introduce a law that will require women rape victim to produce 4 eye witnesses or they would be jailed themselves.

  1. Good..Pakistani’s are nt in mood to see repeat of Zia’s policies, esp after historians’ critical views about how flawed myopic our syllabi are.

  2. dont cry pakistan today every thing will be fine … do some research before commenting .. and wait for happening … time will prove that this decision will be best possible decision

  3. this is not a good thing for a would be coalition. these matters should be discussed in bilateral discussion not on social, print or electronic media. Pl do not provide laughing stock to opponents by mismanaging things.

  4. Ms.Shireen Mazari … many of us will not be surprised if Education Ministry would be given to Taliban by PTI … as both are ISI supported …

  6. PTI is trying to ditch JI again? just like it did in elections when the "seat adjustment" agreement happened and after that (probably on the instructions of Shireen Mazari), they did not go hand in hand with JI because of the islmophobia and the taboo they have. What a rubbish bunch of mis-managed lot , trying to utter all kinds of non-sense on social media.

  11. Hope pti will play fair with JI. may be their coalition will raise legendary examples.

  12. If this is true then i would suggesst JI, not to take PTI alliance since they accept pressure from liberals

  13. The proposed education Minister is a PHd schollar with MA English… And visiting Prof in numerous universities… If he is unacceptable then JI should withdraw its support

  14. Stupid yeh fazool issue nahin hai….Isi issue ki wajah se aaj Terrorism hai….

  15. If PTI wants to reform education, then it has to appoint a minister who is acceptable to the right, center and the left wings of Pakistan. The sole purpose of the syllabus should be to make people more tolerant of each other rather than to indoctrinate the nation with either left or right wing policies. Currently, We are pushing people towards the extremes. Hay tow ik he pakistan na, rehna tow sb nay saath he hey!!!

Do you think she can claim political asylum and get a free house, clothes, money for food, free education for her kids and of course a free travel card for the trains and buses. Well of course she will get it from the British Government! We had enough of you poor Pakistani's coming to the UK stay in your country you beggars.

  18. Tsunami is now fighting with coalition for ministries, IK should come out to save his party from secular and religious extremists. Tax evader CM should focus on work rather distributing seats amount his sister-in-law, sister of sister-in-law, brother-in-law and another sister.

  19. To promote education for all in KPK PTI knows what is best for the people of that Province JI must not feel being ditched at all.
