President Asif Zardari, who is in Karachi for the last several weeks, will be visiting Lahore in the coming days.
According to reports, the president has decided to review the reasons behind the humiliating defeat of the PPP in Punjab.
Sources in the PPP said that provincial presidents of the PPP have been asked to submit their reports about the defeat in the elections and future strategy to make the party more active.
Meanwhile, several defeated candidates of PPP are so annoyed with the leadership that they are refusing to attend the party meetings.
The PPP ticketholders from Lahore refused to attend a meeting convened by former federal minister Samina Khalid Ghurki at her residence on Tuesday. They also demanded that Samina resign from the party post.
The PPP lost because this PPP is not the one ZAB or BB created and led.
i think , right answer! How could the PPP expect to win this time, their campaigning relied too much on generating the public sympathy and loyalty for BB, vote, and not enough on their so called 'achievements' in 5 yrs of power…. But tell me please, any one, how did PPP make Pakistan a better place to live under their watch?
