Two killed in separate firing incidents

Two people were killed in separate firing incidents in the metropolis on Wednesday.
According to media reports, a 40-year-old man named Hafiz Sajjad, son of Nawaz, was gunned down by unidentified armed men near Usman Ghani Masjid, Vita Chowrangi Korangi Town, within the remit of Korangi Industrial Area Police Station.
The body was later moved to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre to undergo medico-legal formalities.
Police said the victim received two bullets in the upper torso area and died before he could be taken to a hospital.
Separately, 26-year-old Hanif, son of Fareed, was killed when unknown assailants opened fire at him at Akbar Road, Sher Shah, within the jurisdiction of Sher Shah Police Station.
Police said the victim received four bullets and had died on the spot.
Later, the body was shifted Civil Hospital Karachi for an autopsy.
