Police kicked off a search operation in Landhi area of the metropolis on Monday and detained several suspects.
According to police, a search operation was initiated in Landhi No 6 and adjoining areas after news of clashes taking place between two rival groups for the past many days reached the mainstream media. Several suspects were apprehended while arms, including two LMG and ten Kalashnikovs, were also recovered from the possession of the nabbed accused.
It is pertinent to mention here that the situation in the mentioned area was still volatile also due to the fact that a candidate for provincial seat was also gunned down on May 10 in the same area.
Earlier, two persons were also injured in firing that took place in Majeed Colony area of Landhi.
