CJ, COAS urged to take notice of Altaf’s statement

Jamat-e-Islami leader (JI) Sindh chief Dr Mairajul Huda Siddiqi on Monday urged Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry and Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani to take immediate notice of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Altaf Hussain’s statements daring the establishment to separate Karachi from the rest of Pakistan.

“I appeal to both the chiefs to strictly react to the MQM leader’s separatist statement and his threats of fanning the politics of violence in particular and his whole speech in general,” he said.

He said that Altaf’s warmongering oratory could have terribly detrimental consequences, if there was catastrophe in Karachi, MQM would be responsible.

  3. Core analysis of a common man:
    U.S doesn't want Islamic religious party in Pakistan due to nuclear threat, Period.
    U.S pressure resulting into Pakistan army compliance leading to staying away from poll stations during general election despite everyone's request: political parties as well as EC chief.
    End results: MQM beneficiary. Army is ultimate supporter of MQM. They have created a monster and now cannot control it.

    U.S, Drones and PTI, that is another long story…some other time.

  4. Situation would be growing more worse than before if the government and establishment don't take notice of the actions and speeches of MQM workers and leaders. They are the cause of promoting terror in the city.

  6. It's shame if Pak Gov or Army don't take notice of open death threats of( terrorist) Altaf Hussain to non mohajir people of Karachi, and UK gov should take serious notice too because he is their national.

  7. i am citizen of karachi first i was supporter of mqm now i know mqm is terrorist party altaf hussain is a crimanl man i apple army chif and sc chife must be take action aginst altaf statment
