The Iranian Foreign Ministry on Sunday felicitated Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for its victory in the recent general election in Pakistan.
In a statement on Sunday, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Syed Abbas Araqchi congratulated the successful conduct of parliamentary elections in Pakistan and Sharif’s ability to win people’s trust.
Araqchi further pointed to close relations between Iran and Pakistan, and hoped for further expansion of bilateral ties between the two neighbouring countries.
Some key personalities from the Saudi royal family also greeted PML-N President Nawaz Sharif on his victory in the May 11 elections, a private TV channel reported on Sunday.
Sources said Saudi personalities congratulating Nawaz expressed well wishes for him.
