Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) vice-president Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi lost the elections in NA-148 Multan I constituency to Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Abdul Ghaffar Dogar, who secured 80,666 votes.
Qureshi was runner-up with 59,731 votes
