European Union Election Observation Mission (EU EOM) on Saturday visited polling stations of NA-49 at Sector G-6/1.

EU EOM chief observer and European parliament member Michael Gahler informed that he paid visit to various polling stations of both constituencies (NA-48, NA-49) of the federal capital and found no embezzlements in the electoral process.

He was of the opinion that everything was running smoothly and nobody had complained him and his team about anything.

Gahler pointed out that there was a huge difference in present and 2008 elections.

“Today election commission is independent, media is enjoying more freedom of expression and National Database Regulatory Authority (NADRA) have eliminated millions bogus votes across the country,” he opined.

Answering a query, he said that he would present the initial report on May 13 in which he would declare all his team’s findings regarding the general elections.
