Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday called on the caretaker government to desist from making out of mandate appointments statutory for 5 year like the NEPRA chairman.
Such appointments must be left to the new elected government.
Imran Khan has also objected to the removal of heads of institutions like OGDCL and alterations in administrative posts’ appointment rules for Islamabad Capital Territory. The chairman said that the caretakers have a limited mandate to ensure security and free and fair elections. Anything beyond this mandate is a direct infringement of the right of an elected government.
He demanded that the caretakers focus solely on their mandate.
