Yasin Malik, other liberation leaders arrested in Delhi

The New Delhi Police on Friday arrested the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik along with several other liberation leaders.

According to details, Yasin Malik, Javed Ahmad Mir, Shabbir Ahmad and human rights activist Mohammad Ahsan Untoo were arrested by the police near Moolchand flyover while they were traveling in a vehicle from Nizamuddin to Zakir Nagar in New Delhi.

Later, Indian authorities shifted them to Kothi Bagh police station in Srinagar in a flight.

Yasin Malik was scheduled to sit on 48-hour hunger strike at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi to press for the demand of return of mortal remains of martyred Kashmiri leaders, Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru, justice for the families of missing persons and families of victims of Machil fake encounter case as well as protest against awarding of life sentences to 32 Kashmiris.

Sisters of Maqbool Butt, leader of Association of Parents of Disappeared Persons, Parveena Ahangar and the relatives of illegally detained Kashmiris were also present in the Indian capital to participate in the hunger strike.

    • India is democratic that is why traitors like him still have an Indian passport. And he was arrested as per a proper law. If India can arrest its politicians for giving a hate-speech, this guy is way ahead of them. This is very unlike Pak where hindus are not allowed to celebrate 14 Aug, converted to Islam on live TV or Christians whose houses are burnt just like that. We dont care what religion you follow, respect and love for country is above all.
