ISLAMABAD – Parliamentary leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-i-Azam in the National Assembly Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat Friday rejected Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s claim that he had been offered a ministerial slot by the then PML-Q government. He said neither Rao Sikandar Iqbal nor Shaukat Aziz had made any offer to the former foreign minister. He was speaking in the National Assembly on a point of order. “I came to know Qureshi’s contention through media reports.
In order to set the record straight, I am saying under oath that late Rao Sikandar Iqbal never made any offer to Shah Mahmood Qureshi for any government slot.” Saleh said. He said he then verified the same issue from Shaukat Aziz and that former prime minister too refuted Qureshi’s assertion terming it ‘surprising’.
