Home Ministry of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Thursday directed the sealing of Pakistan-Afghanistan Torkham border on May 11 in the wake of security reasons on the election day.

The KP home Ministry has instructed the Additional Chief Secretary FATA to restrict the Afghan refugees to their camps from May 10 to 12 on occasion of elections.

It should be mentioned that the directives were issued to stop terrorists from entering the country as defunct outfits have threatened to target the candidates, activists and polling staff.

It should be mentioned that areas bordering Afghanistan and tribal agencies were declared sensitive and directions were given for foolproof security to avoid occurrence of any untoward incident during the general elections.
