The Pakistan Sunni Tehrik (PST) has demanded postponement of elections for one month.

Talking to journalists on Wednesday, PST head Sarwat Ijaz Qadri said it was not possible to run the election campaign in an atmosphere of terrorism and uncertainty. He said election offices and candidates were being targeted not only in Karachi but also in Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa.

Qadri said they were not running from elections but wanted level playing field for all the contesting candidates. He said there was no harm in deployment of army for transparent and peaceful conduct of polls.
