Benazir and I had a deal: Musharraf

Former president General (r) Pervez Musharraf on Wednesday revealed that he had struck a deal with Benazir Bhutto before 2008 general elections and some key countries and personalities were guarantors of the deal.

Recording his first statement before joint investigation team of the Federal Investigation Agency, the former president said as per the agreement, Benazir Bhutto had to come Pakistan after general elections but she violated the pact.

Sources said Mushararf did not disclose the names of guarantors and said former interior minister Rehman Malik be questioned in this regard.

He said that Rehman Malik had been the only means of contact between himself and Benazir Bhutto.

Expired confession.We all know this long time ago.Pls Mr general what deal was made to back you power pavilion again .It might found " interesting "to read this but what you are revealing uis expired version which you are trying to f float for public attraction and trying to call your Fb lovers for your moral support.

Instead of questioning an ex president about BBs murder I suggest The present PRESIDENT,So called DR, Babar Awan and Rehman Malik be INTERROGATED properly (as is done in the cases of poor criminals) by Punjab police . I am sure you will find the CULPRIT. The present style of interrogation, you will never find the culprits .If a husband being in power can not find the murderer of his Illustrious wife that means he is involved,

    • A real good progress in the investigation will be made only if Rehman Malik is interrogated "properly". He himself has admitted knowing, more than once, as to who killed BB. But I think he also enjoys the protection of "guarantors" and also of Zardari for not going ahead with the disclosure. Blaming Musharraf for not providing "enough" security is pointless when the person being secured violates the security protocol and comes in front of the fire.

      • By investigating Rehman Malik properly did you mean to administer what police in UK in the days gone past call Black Aspirin? Police in Pakistan still admitted this treatment in the name of 'Chittar Therapy'.

  5. Well said General, If they have to do these all, why they have awaited for u, The biased machineries behind the curtain will never allow any one to touch any culpirts. Its a war of Power, what some one qoute, " We must be select honest friends and advisors, when we have the Power".

  9. What Mushrraf has now said was talk of the town. Apparently Benazir was lured to brake the deal by her closest family member and face martyrdom.
