Sindh Rangers Director General (DG) on Tuesday opposed the demand of army deployment in Karachi saying that the military will do exactly what the Rangers were doing.

Talking to journalists after a meeting with the business community at Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCCI), Rangers DG Major General Rizwan Akhtar said that the demand of calling in the army was not appropriate as the rangers were trying hard and were using all available resources to improve the situation in Karachi.

KCCI President Haroon Agar said that condition of law and order in the city made it difficult to complete export orders on time.

“Under these conditions, continuing of business and further investment has turned into a very difficult task,” Haroon Agar said.

The traders briefed DG Rangers over money extortion and the deteriorated conditions of law and order in Karachi.

The DG Rangers assured the traders that the situation would improve very soon.
