Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan was summoned by a local court on Friday for taking a rally out in Lahore.

According to details, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had taken out a rally on April 22, at the start of its election campaign.

PTI chief Imran Khan led the rally himself despite the fact that district authorities had imposed a ban on public gatherings in the area.

From Khan’s side, PTI Lahore President Aleem Khan appeared in the court and appealed to the District and Sessions Judge to exempt Imran Khan from appearing due to his election engagements.

However, the judge put aside his request, saying that Khan could even appear on a Sunday. At this Aleem Khan replied that the party head would appear before the court on April 30.
