Pantene Bridal Couture Week (PBCW) organised by Style360 kicked off to a rollicking start on Friday, April 19, 2013. The beautifully decorated lounge and red carpet area, complete with fresh flower arrangements set the tone for the evening. The ramp created on straight, modern lines gave a beautifully contemporary look in marked contrast to the more classic sets normally used at PBCW.
The last day of PBCW opened to a packed house with the décor once again changed, boasting white umbrellas hanging over the ramp and from the roof over the audience’s heads, enhancing the white backdrop, and new motifs on the ramp. Sana Abbas opened the show with her elegant bridal line in pastel colours and striking combinations. Her showstopper was donned by Mahwish Hayatt. Nadya Mistry showcased an ultra-modern and funky bridal line. Her showstoppers were donned by Madiha Iftikhar, Amna Malik and Tipu. A star-studded and lively performance by BodyBeat Productions followed, featuring Hasan Rizvi himself, and stars such as Anoushay Ashraf, Kiran Khan, Suhai, Uroosa, Waqar, Hina Bayat and Tipu, which left the audience clapping and hooting in high spirits. Mifrah followed with her impressive and sophisticated bridal collection. Her showstoppers were donned by Faisal Qureshi, Aijaz Aslam and Amber Khan.
The night segment opened with a bang, with Deepak showcasing his male and female ethnic bridal collection. His showstoppers were donned by Wasim Akram and Zeba Bakhtiar. He was followed by the works of 14 Haute Couturiers – Imran Rajput, Deepak and Fahad, Tabassum Mughal, Arsalan Iqbal, Ishtiaq Afzal, Nida Khurram, Nadaa Saleem, Obaid Sheikh, Wahaj Moiz, Ruby Shakeel, Uzma Baber, Naureen Arbab, Mussarat Bushra and Vasim Asghar. The outfits of Wahaj M Khan were donned by Sana Fakhir and Ehsan Khan.
Following the Haute Couturiers, BodyBeat Productions came in to perform, much to everyone’s delight. This time the performance featured along with Hasan Rizvi Anoushay Ashraf, Kiran Khan, Suhai and Tipu, Sarwat Gilani, Javed Sheikh and Komal Rizvi. The evening came to a grand close with HSY’s male and female gloriously worked collection, ending with an electronic fireworks display.
