Two government officials, including an official of the Intelligence Bureau (IB), were gunned down and two others were injured in two separate incidents in Panjgur and Chaghi districts on Monday.
In the first incident, Abdul Qadeer, a sub-engineer in Communication and Works Department, was at an under-construction building when two assailants appeared at there and opened fire on him and fled.
As a result, Qadeer died on the spot. Witnesses told the police that the masked attackers were on a motorcycle.
In the second incident, two unidentified people riding a motorcycle opened fire and fled. The IB official and two passersby were injured and were shifted to a hospital where Mahmood succumbed to his injuries.
The police registered cases and started investigation.
