The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday rejected the Capital Development Authority (CDA)’s report on encroachments in the capital.

A single member bench of IHC, comprising of Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui, ordered this while hearing the petition filed by Jahangir Khan Jadoon against the CDA on encroachments. The court ordered the CDA director to prepare a comprehensive report and submit it by April 23.

Earlier on April 15, Justice Siddiqui had ordered a CDA official to submit a detailed report on encroachments in the capital. The court ordered this after Jadoon submitted through his petition that encroachers were increasing in the capital with every passing day but the CDA was reluctant to take action against the land grabbers.
