As many as 350 polling stations in the city out of 3,354 polling stations have been declared sensitive for the general elections.
The authorities have divided the polling stations into A, B and C categories. Category A was declared the ‘most sensitive’, Category B being ‘very sensitive’ while just ‘sensitive’ polling stations have been placed in Category C.
Meanwhile, in the wake of threats to ANP, PPP and MQM by Taliban militants, the Punjab and federal governments have been reviewing security situation to ensure foolproof arrangements on the voting day.
