Punjab Chief Minister Najam Sethi said on Saturday that holding of transparent elections and improving the law and order situation was the foremost priority of the caretaker government
While talking to senior columnists and editors at Chief Minister’s Secretariat, he said reshuffling in bureaucracy had been made according to the instructions of the Election Commission and a team of impartial administrators had been constituted which will help ensure holding of transparent elections. He said provision of security to the leaders of all the political parties was the responsibility of the government. He said that in view of threats to political leaders, security would be provided to them as per the instructions of the Election Commission and according to the rules and regulations.
So finally Sethi has realised that his primary job is to hold free and fair elections, not celebrating Basant.
