The Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Tuesday gave a one month extension to Pakistani Hindus who had refused to go back to their country due to, what they called, rising extremism in Pakistan.

The MEA gave a one-month extension to the Pakistani Hindus after their visas got expired.

As per reports, hundreds of Pakistani Hindu families were currently living in shelter homes since November 2011 after their tourist visas expired. Currently, there are more than 450 Pakistani citizens living in various shelter homes across various states in India.

Pakistan Hindus, according to Indian media reports, are pleading the authorities to hear their cases and provide them with a permanent shelter.
