649 polling stations to be set up in Nawabshah

District Election Commissioner (DEC) Sain Bux Channar said that a total of 673,714 male and female voters will exercise the right to cast their votes during the general elections.
He said that 649 polling stations would be set up to facilitate voters who would be casting their votes for the candidates of choice. He said that 75 polling stations were declared most sensitive and where a total of 825 personnel of army, rangers’ and police would be deployed to maintain a cordial law and order situation. Furthermore, he said that three army, two rangers’ and six police personnel would be deputed at each polling station identified as most sensitive.
On the other hand 1,568 personnel of army, rangers’ and police would perform duties at 196 sensitive polling stations to maintain peace and tranquility in their respective circles. The DEC also said that out of this figure, two army, one rangers’ and four police personal would be deployed at each polling station respectively.
