ECP issues orders to file cases against fake degrees providers

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued orders for filing criminal cases against fake degree providers.

According to media reports, degrees of another eight former MPAs and three senators have been declared fake by the HEC and the ECP has ordered that criminal cases be filed against fake degrees providers.

Amongst senators those holding fake degrees were Rehana Yahya Baloch, Israrullah Zehri and Mir Mohabbat Khan Marree while MPAs holding fake degrees included Samina Khawar Hayat, Simal Kamran, Shumaila Rana, Shabina Khan, Rana Ajaz Ahmad Noon, Bashir Ahmad Khan, Nawabzada Tariq Magsi and Mir Nadir Magsi.

The ECP has also issued orders for reversal of polls success’ notification of fake degree holders.

Meanwhile, the degrees of Mukesh Kumar Chawla and Rubina Irfan were declared original by the Higher Education Commission.
