ECP rejects 243 forms, accepts 1,801 in Balochistan

Total 2,087 nomination forms were filed for 14 general seats of the National Assembly and 51 provincial assembly seats across Balochistan and of them 243 papers were rejected and 1801 were accepted.
Muhammad Yousuf, the spokesman for Election Commission of Balochistan, said on Monday that nominated candidates for 14 National Assembly constituencies were 439 and in the 51 provincial assembly seats were 1,648.
“We have completed the scrutiny of all nomination forms submitted for general seats and accepted 414 forms for 14 National Assembly seats and 1387 papers for 51 provincial assembly constituencies,” he said.
Narrating the details, he said that total 50 nomination forms were filed for NA-259, Quetta City, of which 49 were accepted and one was rejected. As many as 62 were submitted for NA-260, Quetta-cum-Chagai out of which 60 were approved and two were rejected, 26 for NA-261, Pishin-cum-Ziarat, 24 were accepted and two were rejected, 31 for NA-262, Killa Abdullah, 29 were accepted and two were rejected, 31 for NA-263, Loralai-cum-Musakhel, 27 were accepted and four rejected, 19 for NA-264, Zhob-cum-Sherani and all forms were accepted, 35 for NA-265, Sibbi-cum-Kohlu and all submitted forms were approved, 51 for NA-266, Nasirabad-cum-Jaffarabad, 48 were accepted and three rejected, 28 for NA-267, Kachi-cum-Jhal Magsi, 23 were approved and five rejected, 25 for NA-268 Kalat-cum-Mastung, 23 were accepted and two rejected, 16 for NA-269, Khuzdar and all forms were approved, 24 for NA-270, Awaran-cum-Lasbela, 23 were accepted and one was rejected, 21 for NA-271, Kharan-cum-Washuk and all forms were accepted and 20 forms were submitted for NA-272, Kech-cum-Gwadar, 17 were approved and three rejected.
Giving details about the acceptance and rejection of nomination forms submitted for 51 provincial assembly constituencies, Yousuf said that total 62 forms were filed for PB-1 Quetta-1 and 44 were accepted and 18 rejected, 50 for PB-2 Quetta-11 and 43 were approved while seven rejected, 58 for PB-3 Quetta-111 and 47 were approved and 11 rejected, 54 for PB-4, Quetta-1V, 42 were accepted and 12 rejected, 78 for PB-5 Quetta-V, 69 were approved and nine rejected, 93 for PB-6 Quetta-V1, 73 were approved and 20 rejected, 28 for PB-7 Ziarat, 26 were accepted and two rejected, 26 for PB-8, Pishin-1 and all forms were accepted, 26 for PB-9, Pishin-11 and 25 were accepted and one was rejected, 25 for PB-10 Pishin-111 and 24 were accepted and one was rejected, 32 for PB-11, Killa Abdullah-1 and 30 were accepted and two rejected, 30 for PB-12 Killa Abdullah-11 and 28 were accepted and two rejected, 19 for PB-13 Killa Abdullah-111 and 15 were accepted and four rejected, 29 for PB-14 Loralai-1 and 27 were accepted and two rejected and 17 for PB-15 Musakhel, 12 were accepted and five rejected.
The spokesman said further that 46 nomination forms were submitted for PB-16 Loralai-11 and 25 forms were accepted and 21 rejected, 15 for PB-17 Barkhan, 14 were accepted and one was rejected, 33 for PB-18 Sherani-cum-Zhob, 15 were accepted and 18 rejected, 35 for PB-19 Zhob and all forms were approved, 22 for PB-20 Killa Saifullah and all papers were accepted, 34 for PB-21 Sibbi, 32 were accepted and two rejected, 44 for PB-22 Harnai-cum-Sibi and all forms were accepted, 36 for PB-23 Kohlu, 33 were accepted and three rejected, 17 for PB-24 Dera Bugti, 15 were accepted and two rejected, 51 for PB-26 Jaffarabad-11 and 47 were approved and four rejected and 42 for PB-27 Jaffarabad-111 and 40 were accepted and two rejected.
He added that 59 forms were submitted for PB-28 Nasirabad-1 and 53 were accepted and six rejected, 58 for PB-29 Nasirabad-11 and 46 were accepted and 12 rejected, 36 for PB-30 Bolan, however, the EC Balochistan yet to receive details from the Returning Officer concerned through post about the numbers of acceptance and rejection of nomination forms filed for this constituency, 39 forms were submitted for PB-31 Bolan-11 and 32 were accepted and seven rejected, 18 for PB-32 Jhal Magsi, 16 accepted and two rejected, 16 for PB-33 Khuzdar-1 and 15 were accepted and one was rejected, 27 for PB-34 Khuzdar-11 and 26 were accepted and one was rejected, 13 for PB-35 Khuzdar-111 and all forms were accepted, 28 for PB-36 Kalat-1 and 24 were accepted and four rejected, 26 for PB-37 Kalat-11 and 25 were approved and one was rejected, 28 for PB-38 Mastung-cum-Quetta, 26 were accepted and two rejected, 23 for PB-39 Chagai-1 and 21 were accepted and two rejected, 40 for PB-40 Nushki, 39 were accepted and one was rejected, 11 for PB-41 Awaran, nine were accepted and two rejected, and 14 for PB-42 Panjgur-1 and 10 were accepted and four rejected.
Yousuf concluded that 12 nomination papers were submitted for PB-43 Pnajgur-11 and nine were accepted and three rejected, 18 for PB-44 Lasbela-1 and 13 were accepted and five rejected, 35 for PB-45 Lasbela-11 and 33 were accepted and two rejected, 28 for PB-46 Kharan, 27 were accepted and one rejected, 13 for PB-47 Washuk, 12 were accepted and one was rejected, 15 for PB-48 Kech-1 and 12 were accepted and three rejected, 12 for Kech-11 and 10 were accepted and two rejected, as well as 12 for PB-50 Kech-111 and 10 were approved and two rejected and 25 for PB-51 Gwadar, 22 were accepted and three rejected.
