DHA residents form committees to resolve issues

LAHORE – The DHA Resident Association constituted five standing committees on Wednesday to address all sorts of issues faced by residents and to improve working relationship with DHA administration on cordial grounds The step was taken in an Executive Council meeting held under DHA Residence Association (DHA RA) President Rohail Ikram’s headship at his office. DHA RA Secretary General Azam Nasir Chaudhry presented one month progress report at the meeting that thrashed out various issues and mulled over their possible solutions.
It was decided during the meeting that all matters including key issues, complaints and communication within and outside the office must be presented in black and white. “The decision aims to keep all data in written form to help improve efficiency”, Azim Nasir said. He said that DHA RA planned to meet every month; first meeting in this regard would be held in second week of March to discuss issues of sector A and B in Phase I. He added that the monthly meetings would consider issues of every sector in different phases one by one.
The committees formed during the meeting include Standing Committee on Law and Order, Standing Committee on Education, Health and Sports, Standing committee on Commercial Affairs, Standing Committee on Utility Services and Standing Committee on Ladies Welfare. Standing Committee on Law and Order houses Chariman Lt Col (Retd) Syed Ashfaq Amjad, Ch. Kurshid Alam Bhatti, Najam Mirza, Ch. Muhammad Arshad, Mateen Bessey. Standing Committee on Education, Health and Sports has Chairman Abdul Khaliq Alvi, Nawaz Nayav Afzaal, Hafeez Sheikh, Malik Iftikhar Ahmed, Tariq Malik, Lt. Col Retd Jawed Akhtar and D.
Shazia Khurram. Standing Committee on Commercial Affairs include Col Retd M Azhar Khawaja, Khalid Farooq Mirza, Syeda Rakhshanda Mansoor, Dr Shazia Khurram. Standing Committee on Utility Services consists off Chairman Masud Akhtar , Muhammad Sajjad, Maj Retd Rafiq Hasrat, Nasira Mehmood whereas Standing committee on Ladies Welfare comprises of Chairperson Nisar Fatima , Noshaba Naz, Nishat Qasmi and Qaisra Zulqar.
