Briefing media persons here on Monday, Sindh secretary information said that the caretaker chief minister has directed that all measures should be taken to ensure peaceful atmosphere in the metropolis during elections.
The first meeting of the caretaker cabinet of Sindh was held in the provincial capital on Monday with the caretaker Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Justice (r) Zahid Qurban Alvi in the chair.
The meeting reviewed law and order situation in the province and measures that needed to be taken during the upcoming elections‚ along with reviewing the situation of financial position and development projects in the province.
Later‚ while briefing media persons, the secretary information said that the CM had directed that all possible measures should be taken to ensure peaceful atmosphere in the city during the forthcoming general elections.
He said that the Sindh IGP had informed the meeting that a security plan had been chalked out to ensure proper law and order during elections.
