Sindh cabinet likely to take oath today

After a gap of several days, the caretaker cabinet of the Sindh is likely to take oath today (Saturday) at 2pm at the Sindh Governor’s House.

The delay in the formation of caretaker set up came because of adjusting the people recommended by the coalition partners, however, the caretaker cabinet would be based on technocrats and non-political people, it is learnt.

The caretaker cabinet will have around 16 ministers and at least two advisers to run the day-to-day affairs of the Sindh government, sources said.

Those who will take oath as caretaker ministers include economist Shakaib Qureshi as finance minister, Haroon Farooqi, Iqbal Dawood as food minister, Sardar Khan Ghoto, Nawab Kalab Hussain, Ghulam Hussain Jiskani, Mehmood Mandwi, Dr NK Lohani, son of former minister Junaid Shah, Sardar Yaseen Malik, Mohammad Shareef Ansari, Shabbar Zaidi, Khalid Tawab, Khalid Lateef, Noorul Huda Shah, Abdul Qadir Chohan and Mian Zahid.

Sources said the portfolio of the caretaker cabinet would be allocated once the ministers take oath.
