Bail extension and shoes for Musharraf

The Sindh High Court on Friday extended former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf’s bail for another 15 days.

The SHC has accepted former military ruler’s application for protective bail in three separate cases on March 21.

Earlier today, Musharraf arrived in the court amid high security.

The former army chief, who is also chief of his party All Pakistan Muslim League (APML), entered court premises through VIP entrance to get extension in the bail in the cases of Benazir Bhutto assassination, Nawab Akbar Bugti murder and judges sacking.

Scuffles between lawyers and policemen were witnessed in the court when scores of infuriated law practitioners gathered outside chief justice’s chamber, chanting slogans against the former army supremo and most hurling shoes at him.

Dozens of APML workers were also present in the court premises where over 200 policemen were deployed to provide security to Pervez Musharraf.

Chief Justice SHC Justice Musheer Aalam is hearing the cases.

  6. This is what happens when a criminal is granted bail. A reaction to his unwanted presence will escalate if he is not put under immediate arrest.

  7. So it is shoes for the former President and garlands and rose petals for the murderer of Saleem Taseer—-both from the lawyers. What a shame.

  8. sad to see the incident.it is not decency of so the called advocates.i condemn it.i believe he is the greatest leader from pak even though people in pak today are not favoring him.he should be given honour.

  10. worthless effort by a person whose helplessness is obvious or might be done via agency to refrain him indulging further humiliation that is coming ahead as his political flight.Musharraf is just on one real stroke to kneel down on his toes as he has long list of crime against national interests and humanity but only problem is that all politicians including IK and JI are behaving like ostriches who have hidden their heads under sand
