The Islamabad Police have arrested 10 outlaws from various localities of the city and seized hashish, wine and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said on Thursday. According to details, Inspector General of Police Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Yassen Farooq Islamabad assigned the task to arrest the accused involved in hashish and wine smuggling. Sabzi Mandi Police Station SHO Qasim Khan Naizi and Sub-Inspector Alamgir Khan, during checking, arrested Salman and Kamran of Peshawar and seized 8.520 kilogrammes of hashish from their possession. On a tip off, Bani Gala SHO Fayyaz Ahmad Ranjha and ASI Sajid Hussain arrested Talib Hussain and Shamshad Hussain and recovered 286 bottles of wine from their possession. Sub-Inspector Asghar Ali from CIA Police arrested Mehboob Ali and Shahid Ali Khan and seized gold ornaments amounting to Rs 350,000 from their possession. Sub-Inspector Nusrat Ali from Golara Police Station arrested Muhammad Saqib and seized 400 grams of hashish from him. ASI Ali Asghar from Tarnol Police Station arrested Salman and recovered one SMG gun along with five cartridges from him. ASI Umer Hayyat from Nilor Police Station, during patrolling, arrested Sajjad Mehmood and seized one 12-bore gun along with three cartridges from him. ASI Iftikhar Ahmad from Shahzad Town Police Station arrested Muhammad Bilal and seized a bottle of wine. Cases have been registered against the arrested and further investigations are underway. IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq have appreciated this overall performance of the police officials and directed all police officials for high vigilance and patrolling in their respective areas to curb activities of anti-social elements.
