IGP, police high-ups discuss law and order

Sindh Inspector General Police (IGP) Shahid Nadeem Baloch and high officials of the Sindh Police on Tuesday made detailed deliberations on law and order situation in Karachi and issued necessary directives in this regard.
The Sindh police chief chaired a high-level meeting on law and order at the Central Police Office here, said a statement.
The participants of the meeting also discussed various aspects of the incidents of killing in the metropolis.
The IGP called for proactive policing and a comprehensive crime analysis for the cause of peace in the metropolitan.
He directed that all zonal DIGs and Central Police officials should put the police personnel on high alert and should also personally check and monitor security arrangements and activities regarding the deployment of staff.
He also directed for additional deployment as well as deployment of plain-clothes police personnel in the crime-affected areas of the city.
IGP Shahid also directed the officials concerned for taking assistance from the forensic science experts and from expertise of police officials in investigation process.
Furthermore, he directed that the services of those police personnel who were hired in the legal/prosecution branch of the police but were now serving in other sections, be repatriated to their parent section of posting.
The meeting also reviewed the pending cases of the martyred police personnel.
Moreover, The IGP directed to simplify the process to provide financial assistance and other notified benefits to the legal heirs of the martyred police personnel.
He also directed to provide jobs to a single member of each affected family.
