The police arrested two men who were allegedly involved in attacking Pervaiz Elahi’s house on Tuesday.
The police made use of the CCTV footage which had recorded the car registration number and traced down Hussan Waleed and Ifran Arif. The police also seized a 9mm pistol from their possession.
The arrested men said that on the day of the incident they were being chased by some robbers as they were making their way with cash they received after selling some gold. They claim that they opened fire near Elahi’s house only to scare off the robbers who were chasing them. The pleaded that they had no connection whatsoever with any political party or banned organisation.
DIG Ray Tahir said that police were investigating the case.
If their story is to be believed, then they should have gone directly themselves to the police station to register the case against those robbers right after the incidence.
They should not have waited for the police to arrest them thru their car number
I totally agree with you and I don't believe his story.
