LAHORE – Pakistan blind cricket team whitewashed Australia in the three-match Donovan-Agha Shaukat Blind Cricket ODI series when they beat the hosts in the last encounter by four wickets at the Adelaide Oval. The series was organised to recognise the perpetual efforts of Late Agha Shaukat Ali (former chairman Pakistan Blind Cricket Council, founder member of World Blind Cricket Council and pioneer blind cricketer in Pakistan) and Australian blind cricketer Peter Donovan (former president of World Blind Cricket Council) for the development of cricket for the blind around the globe. Pakistan won the toss and asked Australia to bat first.
Australia scored 293 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 40 overs. Lindsay Heaven was the top scorer with 75 runs, while Mathew Horsey scored 54 runs. Abdul Razzaq claimed two wickets while Rizwan, Zafar and Jameel took one wicket each. Pakistan, in reply, reached home in the 30th over for the loss of six wickets. Muhammad Jameel again batted brilliantly as he remained unbeaten on 151 runs. Arslan Javeed scored 28 runs off 18 balls. Raymond Moxley, Peter Robinson and Lindsay Heaven took two wickets each.
