After Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) opposition to delimitation, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has also announced to move court against new delimitation of the city’s constituencies.
It should be mentioned here that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in accordance with the Supreme Court (SC) directives had approved delimitations in eight provincial and three National Assembly constituencies in the metropolis.
Talking to media persons here on Sunday, PPP Karachi Division General Secretary Syed Najmi Alam said that orders by the ECP regarding delimitations in the financial hub were unacceptable and his party would move court against it.
Earlier, the MQM, while expressing lack of trust in ECP had declared that it would challenge Karachi delimitation orders in the Sindh High Court (SHC).
