700,000 citizens face trouble acquiring passports

The acquisition of passports by common man across the country has become more difficult than usual and long queues in front of the passport offices bear witness to the hardships faced by citizens.

According to details, delay in the issuance of 700,000 passports has given way to acute difficulties for citizens. Official sources claimed that the problem was caused by shortage of lamination papers.

Sources are of the view that the delay is likely to affect the Hajj-pilgrims.

The federal government has constituted a four-member committee that will do away with the possible delay in the issuance of passports for pilgrims.

The members of the committee include one representative each from Religious Affairs Department, Passport Department, FBR and one person representing the government.

  1. Government should take interest to solve this issue. I need my passport on urgent basis within 10 days, have applied for the same with urgent Fee.

  2. The government should be very sensitive to this issue. My children need their passports on urgent basis so as to reach their school in time, before the session starts.If they didn't get the passports in time,they will lose a precious year of their life… We are so concerned.

  4. Everyone is concerned only our corrupt rulers are not concerned. They have become senseless and are sleeping without any worry. They are only concerned about making money. They should be banned for life to take part in elections . They really don't deserve it we need new blood to be in the new Government.

  9. I deposited my application on 8th Feb,2013 with urgent fee but still waiting for passport.
    on other side some corrupt element are issueing passport with money throug agents which is very shameful to concerned department and government.

  10. Its really shameful for authorities ,7 million people are suffering but no one is realizing their obligation, responsibles must be bring to justice and punished, such corrupt elements, black sheep should curb down now

  13. Have applied for PP 2.5 months back by paying urgent fee, same time my neighbor applied for 18 PP with ordinary fees but due to his relations he got all PP in 10 days n i m still waiting for the passport, don't know y chief justice is not taking serious note of this issue

I specially request to the Government please should take a serious action for delay passports.i was submitted my argent fee passport of 18th march 2013 i need passport my father waiting my passport he is living in u.a.e he is ill and he is so worried about me and waiting for me.please issue me a passport argent.i shall be very thankful to you for this act of action.
