Egypt, being a centuries-old civilisation, should take lead in removing misunderstandings between the Western World and Muslim states, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said on Monday.
The PTI chief said this in an exclusive meeting with Egyptian President Mohmmad Morsi, during which the two leaders exchanged views on matters pertaining to relations between the two brotherly nations.
Khan said it was the time right time to bridge the gulf within the Muslim states and between the West and the Muslim nations.
He said Muslims all over the world were facing a crisis while the western powers were labeling them as extremists, which was a part of a well-conceived strategy.
“The leadership of the Muslim World needs to evolve a joint strategy to deal with the huge challenge as Islam is the most peaceful religion and the Muslims are in favour peace,” said the PTI leader.
He called upon the Egyptian president to play his role in deescalating the situation in Syria and the tensions between Muslim nations which were mainly due to a gulf between the leadership of the states.
Both the leaders also agreed in principle to improve relations between both countries.
President Morsi praised Khan’s efforts for raising his voice against corruption. He said the PTI wanted to bring a change in Pakistan similar to the one his party had brought in Egypt.
Morsi expressed hope that after coming into power, Khan would work for the welfare of Pakistan.
PTI leaders Jahangir Tareen, Naeemul Haq, Shahzad Wasim and Jahangir Ashraf Qazi were also present.

The Christian West, Jewish Zionists and Hindu Indian have their eyes on Pakistan's Nuclear and Missile, as evident from their Press & Media. They are using their proxies like ANP, PPP, PML(N), and MQM to sow chaos, so as to provide an excuse to attack Pakistan's strategic assets. Even, Zionist media like International Herald Tribune owned by Sulzberger Zionist family (also owners of New York Times) have their mouth pieces or bylines in Pakistani newspapers like DAWN and The Express Tribune. The New York based pro-Zionist Haroon Family of Karachi run press and media houses in Pakistan. Zionist agents like Malik Riaz and Asif Zardari have access to centres of power in Pakistan. The only hurdle in their path is the strength of Pakistan Armed Forces, who along with Allah Almighty are protecting this hapless, exploited, unfortunate, and abused nation.
