CM advises gov on setting up high court benches in 5 districts

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday gave advice to Punjab governor for the establishment of high court benches in 5 districts of the province.
According to a report by a private TV channel, lawyers had observed a strike and staged demonstrations for acceptance of their demand to have high court bench for Faisalabad.
They had also launched movement against Punjab Law Minister Rana Sana Ullah Khan on this issue. .
The chief minister, while accepting the demand of the lawyers, sent summary to the governor for setting up high court benches in 5 districts of the province. These five districts included Faisalabad, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Dera Ghazi Khan and Gujranwala.
The governor is expected to sign the summary after consultations with the Lahore High Court Chief Justice Omar Atta Bandial.
