A complete shutter-down strike was observed in Balochistan on Friday in protest against the government’s failure to recover provincial Prosecutor General Abdul Wasay Tareen.
Lawyers also boycotted court proceedings on the appeal of Balochistan Bar Association President Rehmatullah Barech.
During Thursday’s press conference, the lawyers lamented that the law and order in Balochistan, especially in Quetta, was getting worse by the day.
Despite the passage of 17 days, Tareen had not been recovered.
Political parties and the Anjuman Tajiran also backed the strike call.
