The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has once again drawn attention of political parties to submit applications for allotment of election symbol by Friday.
The Commission said that applications which will be received after the last date or through fax will not be entertained.
56 political parties out of 227 have applied for the allotment of the election symbols so far.
PPP and PML-N are among the parties which have not applied for allotment of election symbols.
Meanwhile‚ the Election Commission has completed printing new amended nomination papers.
According to Commission sources‚ some 120‚000 new nomination papers have been printed and distribution of these papers will be completed by 18th of this month.
Nomination forms for general seats are in white color‚ for women pink‚ and for minorities it is in orange color.
