Amir Shabbir, a moneychanger from Hafizabad, was making his way on a rickshaw from the Duty Free Shop area when he was waylaid by armed men near the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday night. The robbers made off with Rs 5 million and shot and injured Shabbir. He was rushed to Mayo Hospital but could not survive his injuries. The doctors later found Rs 0.2 million from a secret pocket of his trousers.
