The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl and Balochistan National Party-Awami have decided to sit on opposition benches in Balochistan Assembly after expiry of governor’s rule in province.
A consultative meeting of both parties was held at Parliament House in which BNP-A leader Israrullah Zehri and JUI-F cleric Abdul Ghafoor Haideri took part.
Both advised former chief minister Aslam Raisani not to resign, adding that Raisani’s credibility would be affected if he quitted his seat. The two sides agreed that they would have no objection if the National Assembly and provincial assemblies would be dissolved at the same day.
The governor’s rule would be abolished in Balochistan today (Thursday), which was imposed for improvement of law and order in the province.
