President lays foundation stone of Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway

President Asif Ali Zardari laid the foundation stone of Karachi-Hyderabad M-9 Motorway in Hyderabad.

The project‚ which includes construction of 6-lane motorway with 20 bridges‚ will be completed in 2 years at a cost of 13 billion rupees.

Besides benefiting transport and industry sectors‚ the project will also provide job opportunities to 4 thousand jobless people.

The president also inaugurated 48 kilometer long Hyderabad-Badin Road‚ which has been completed at a cost of 184 million rupees.

President Zardari also inaugurated Behan Benazir Basti housing scheme for the homeless people in Hyderabad.

Under the scheme‚ 65 thousand housing units will be constructed for poor people in 23 districts of Sindh.

The project will be completed at a cost of 1.6 billion rupees.

  1. it took uncle zardari 5 years to sign the iran gas pipe line and this project ??? where did the 34billion dollar IMF loan sought in 5 years go ??? what has PPP done in the last five year ???

  2. How come this is not named as "Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Motorway" ! If you have waken up from your sleep of five years, hurry up as only a few days are left to get your names on as many places as you can.

  3. I am waiting for the day that Pakistan's name is changed to Bhuttostan or Benaziristan. A more befitting name would be beghairatistan. lol.
