Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) leader and leading industrialist Kamran Tessori has said that Karachi needs a clean-up operation as there will be bloody days ahead during the next general elections if the present situation is not controlled by the government and security agencies. Talking to media at the opening ceremony of cricket tournament organised by Karachi Union of Journalists-Dastoor (KUJ-D) at the press club here on Thursday, he said some external and internal anti-state agents in Pakistan did not want to see democracy in Pakistan and they were supporting instability in the country.
He said the government should take serious steps to control instability in Pakistan, which the PML-F chief and spiritual leader of Hur community, Pir Pagaro, identified as he had very close eyes on the current situation of Pakistan.
Tessori said there was already uncertain situation of general elections in different areas of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and now Karachi was in under violence. He said Karachi is economic hub of Pakistan and anti-state elements were trying to create more violence in the city.
He said steps for peace would be taken above all political interests. It would be impossible to run democratic process in Pakistan without free and fair elections in Karachi.
