Capital Development Authority (CDA) daily-wage employees of the Environment Wing on Thursday held a protest rally from Melody Market to National Press Club (NPC), demanding their regularisation. Ahmed Khan, representative of employees, while addressing the participants said around 1,300 employees had been working on daily wages for eight years but their services had not been regularised.
“We are getting only Rs 293 per day, making it difficult to manage our families’ budget,” he said. CDA employees’ federation General Secretary Syed Shibab Bukhari also participated in the rally.
A large number of daily-wage employees participated in the protest rally to press for their demands.
